Blue Hill Bobcats (Blue Hill, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Sandy Creek Cougars (Fairfield, NE), 59-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Blue Hill upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Bobcats travel to Lawrence-Nelson (Nelson, NE) to clash with the Raiders in a D1 District 8 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 7-7. Lawrence-Nelson won 47-27 in their recent non-league bout against Diller-Odell (Odell, NE)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Thayer Central Titans (Hebron, NE) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 21. Sandy Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 60-51 non-league loss to Friend (Friend, NE).
