January 20, 2023: Chelsea, AL 35043 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Hewitt-Trussville Huskies (Trussville, AL) and the host Chelsea Hornets (Chelsea, AL), saw Hewitt-Trussville's basketball squad hold off Chelsea by a count of 61-59.
With the victory, Hewitt-Trussville upgrades its record to 17-8 on the campaign. The Huskies host Oak Mountain (Birmingham, AL) to play the Eagles in a 7A Area 6 challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 18-7. Oak Mountain won 65-55 in their recent league challenge against Spain Park (Hoover, AL)
Next up, the Hornets play the Spain Park Jaguars (Hoover, AL) in a 7A Area 6 challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Chelsea will attempt to upgrade on its 14-10 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 19-4 record after their 65-55 league loss to Oak Mountain (Birmingham, AL).
