January 20, 2023: West Blocton, AL 35184 Curry Yellowjackets (Jasper, AL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host West Blocton Tigers (West Blocton, AL), 72-67 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Curry upgrades its record to 5-18 on the season. The Yellowjackets host Carbon Hill (Carbon Hill, AL) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 19-5. Carbon Hill won 58-55 in their recent non-league game against Cordova (Cordova, AL)
With the defeat, West Blocton moves to 3-20 on the year. The Tigers host Mortimer Jordan (Kimberly, AL) to face the Blue Devils in a non-league game on Saturday, January 21. The Blue Devils enter the game with a record of 3-12. Mortimer Jordan lost 68-37 in their recent league game against Pinson Valley (Pinson, AL)
