Cypress Woods Wildcats (Cypress, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Cypress Lakes Spartans (Katy, TX), 58-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Cypress Woods upgrades its record to 12-12 on the season. The Wildcats host Langham Creek (Houston, TX) to play the Lobos in a 6A Region II District 16 bout on Wednesday, January 25. The Lobos go into the bout with a record of 18-8. Langham Creek won 43-39 in their recent league bout against Cypress Falls (Houston, TX)

Next up, the Spartans play the Cypress Springs Panthers (Cypress, TX) in a 6A Region II District 16 bout, on Wednesday, January 25. Cypress Lakes will attempt to upgrade on its 11-13 season record.
