Georgia High School Basketball - Griffin nips West Laurens

January 20, 2023: Dexter, GA 31019

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Griffin Bears (Griffin, GA) and the host West Laurens Raiders (Dexter, GA), saw Griffin's basketball squad hold off West Laurens by a tally of 65-61.

With the victory, Griffin improves its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Spalding (Griffin, GA) to play the Jaguars in a AAAA Region 2 challenge on Saturday, January 21. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 11-6. Spalding won 74-45 in their recent league challenge against Howard (Macon, GA)

Next up, the Raiders play the Dodge County Indians (Eastman, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 21. West Laurens will attempt to improve on its 5-12 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 10-3 record after their 65-45 league win over Berrien (Nashville, GA).
