Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Pymatuning Valley Lakers (Andover, OH) and the visiting Mathews Mustangs (Vienna, OH), saw Pymatuning Valley's basketball squad wallop Mathews by a tally of 63-27.

With the victory, Pymatuning Valley improves its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Lakers host Grand Valley (Orwell, OH) to play the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 21. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 4-9. Grand Valley won 74-68 in their recent non-league challenge against Independence (Independence, OH)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Bristol Panthers (Bristolville, OH) in a Northeastern challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Mathews will attempt to improve on its 9-6 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 9-6 record after their 64-45 league win over Harding (Fairport Harbor, OH).
