California High School Basketball - Newbury Park can't hold off Oaks Christian
January 20, 2023: Westlake Village, CA 91362 The Oaks Christian Lions basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Newbury Park Panthers to 59 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.
The Lions now sport a 18-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thousand Oaks for a Marmonte contest on Wednesday, January 25. Oaks Christian will battle a Lancers team coming off a 58-55 league loss to Calabasas (Calabasas, CA). The Lancers record now stands at 18-5.
The Panthers (14-10) will now prepare for their contest against Agoura (Agoura, CA). The Chargers enter the Marmonte contest with a 15-8 record. In their last contest, Agoura nudged Westlake (Westlake Village, CA), 55-47, in a league contest.
