Kansas High School Basketball - Shawnee Mission South tops Newton
January 20, 2023: Shawnee Mission, KS 66207 Shawnee Mission South Raiders (Shawnee Mission, KS) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Newton Railroaders (Newton, KS), 53-39 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Shawnee Mission South upgrades its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Raiders host Bishop Carroll (Wichita, KS) to meet the Golden Eagles in a non-league contest on Saturday, January 21. The Golden Eagles enter the contest with a record of 5-6. Bishop Carroll won 58-34 in their recent non-league contest against Dodge City (Dodge City, KS)
The Railroaders (1-10) will now prepare for their contest against Dodge City (Dodge City, KS). The Demons enter the non-league contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Dodge City was outscored by Bishop Carroll (Wichita, KS), 58-34, in a non-league contest.
