California High School Basketball - Palm Desert holds off Xavier Prep

January 20, 2023: Palm Desert, CA 92211

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Palm Desert Aztecs (Palm Desert, CA) and the host Xavier Prep Saints (Palm Desert, CA), saw Palm Desert's basketball squad hold off Xavier Prep by a tally of 57-50.

With the victory, Palm Desert improves its record to 16-7 on the campaign. The Aztecs travel to West Valley (Hemet, CA) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 21. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 5-14. West Valley lost 88-41 in their recent league challenge against Liberty (Winchester, CA)

Next up, the Saints confront the Paloma Valley Wildcats (Menifee, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Xavier Prep will attempt to improve on its 10-12 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 6-13 record after their 52-34 league loss to Canyon Springs (Moreno Valley, CA).
