January 20, 2023: Winnebago, IL 61088 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Stillman Valley Cardinals (Stillman Valley, IL) and the host Winnebago Indians (Winnebago, IL), saw Stillman Valley's basketball squad hold off Winnebago by a tally of 47-43.
With the victory, Stillman Valley improves its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Mendota (Mendota, IL) to confront the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 21. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 8-16. Mendota lost 52-45 in their recent league challenge against Kewanee (Kewanee, IL)
Next up, the Indians confront the Hinckley-Big Rock Royals (Hinckley, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 21. Winnebago will attempt to improve on its 11-8 season record. The Royals come into the challenge with a 18-5 record after their 44-42 non-league win over Harvest Christian Academy (Elgin, IL).
