The Atchison Phoenix basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Metro Academy Mavericks to 59 in the Phoenix non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Phoenix now sport a 9-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jefferson West for a non-league contest on Friday, January 26. Atchison will meet a Tigers team coming off a 73-61 non-league win over Oskaloosa (Oskaloosa, KS). The Tigers record now stands at 4-5.
