In Saturday's non-league outing, the Bellflower Buccaneers (Bellflower, CA) basketball squad edged the host Marquez Gladiators (Huntington Park, CA), by a count of 58-57.

The Buccaneers (14-10) will now prepare for their outing against Norwalk (Norwalk, CA). The Lancers go into the San Gabriel Valley outing with a 10-14 record. In their last outing, Norwalk was tipped by Gahr (Cerritos, CA), 56-39, in a league outing.
