The Carolina International Comets basketball team scored 87 points and held the visiting Charlotte Lab School Lions to 28 in the Comets non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Comets now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Piedmont Community Charter for a 1A Metro 8 contest on Tuesday, January 23. Carolina International will meet a Patriots team coming off a 92-35 league win over Apprentice Academy (Monroe, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 12-3.

The Lions (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Grace Academy (Matthews, NC). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record.
