Georgia High School Basketball - Unity Christian trounces Coosa
January 20, 2024: Rome, GA 30165 The Unity Christian Lions (Rome, GA) basketball crushed the host Coosa Eagles (Rome, GA), 79-58 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Lions (8-9) will now prepare for their test against Excel Christian Academy (Cartersville, GA). The Eagles go into the GAPPS - I-A Region 1A test with a 5-14 record. In their last test, Excel Christian Academy walloped Oakwood Christian (Chickamauga, GA), 78-51, in a league test.
The Eagles now own a 5-15 record. They play next when they travel to Armuchee for a A D1 Region 7 test on Tuesday, January 23. Coosa will encounter a Indians squad coming off a 48-36 non-league win over Bremen (Bremen, GA). The Indians record now stands at 5-10.
