Georgia High School Basketball - Praise Academy knocked off by Troup County
January 20, 2024: LaGrange, GA 30241 The Troup County Tigers basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Praise Academy Lions to 53 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Tigers now sport a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Riverdale for a AAAA Region 4 contest on Saturday, January 20. Troup County will battle a Raiders team coming off a 59-54 league win over Whitewater (Fayetteville, GA). The Raiders record now stands at 9-8.
The Lions (1-15) will now prepare for their contest against Holy Ground Baptist Academy (Roopville, GA). The Stallions enter the non-league contest with a 8-7 record. In their last contest, Holy Ground Baptist Academy ran past Lafayette Christian (LaGrange, GA), 75-67, in a league contest.
