Virginia High School Basketball - Thomas Dale nudges Western Branch

January 20, 2024: Chesapeake, VA 23321

In Saturday's non-league outing, the Thomas Dale Knights (Chester, VA) basketball squad edged the host Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA), by a margin of 57-54.

The Knights (10-4) will now prepare for their outing against Prince George (Prince George, VA). The Royals go into the Central outing with a 2-13 record. In their last outing, Prince George was tipped by Hopewell (Hopewell, VA), 70-31, in a league outing.

The Bruins now own a 9-6 record. They play next when they travel to Oscar Smith for a Southeastern outing on Tuesday, January 23. Western Branch will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 65-51 non-league win over Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA). The Tigers record now stands at 12-1.
