West Virginia High School Basketball - Morgantown overwhelms Brooke
January 20, 2024: Morgantown, WV 26501 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Morgantown Mohigans (Morgantown, WV) and the visiting Brooke Bruins (Wellsburg, WV), saw Morgantown's basketball squad wallop Brooke by a tally of 83-17.
With the victory, Morgantown improves its record to 11-1 on the campaign. The Mohigans travel to Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV) to confront the Patriots in a Two Rivers challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 11-3. Wheeling Park lost 81-73 in their recent non-league challenge against Parkersburg (Parkersburg, WV)
Next up, the Bruins confront the Indian Creek Redskins (Wintersville, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 22. Brooke will attempt to improve on its 0-12 season record. The Redskins come into the challenge with a 15-3 record after their 54-51 league loss to Bellaire (Bellaire, OH).
