January 20, 2024: Fresno, CA 93720 The Maria Carrillo Pumas basketball team (Santa Rosa, CA), was overwhelmed 83-45 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Clovis West Golden Eagles (Fresno, CA)
The Golden Eagles now possess a 21-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clovis North for a Tri-Rivers battle on Tuesday, January 23. Clovis West will battle a Broncos team coming off a 74-32 league loss to Buchanan (Clovis, CA). The Broncos record now stands at 9-13.
The Pumas (14-6) will now prepare for their battle against Cardinal Newman (Santa Rosa, CA). The Cardinals come into the North Bay - Oak battle with a 20-2 record. In their last battle, Cardinal Newman trounced Priory (Portola Valley, CA), 59-31, in a non-league battle.
