The Johnson County Central Thunderbirds basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting Falls City Tigers to 37 in the Thunderbirds non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Thunderbirds now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fairbury for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 25.

The Tigers (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against Auburn (Auburn, NE). The Bulldogs enter the C1 District 1 contest with a 6-8 record.
