Montgomery County Eagles (Mt. Vernon, GA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Turner County Titans (Ashburn, GA), 61-56 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Montgomery County upgrades its record to 17-0 on the season. The Eagles travel to Portal (Portal, GA) to clash with the Panthers in a A D2 Region 3 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 6-12. Portal lost 59-35 in their recent non-league bout against Screven County (Sylvania, GA)

Next up, the Titans clash with the Atkinson County Rebels (Pearson, GA) in a A D2 Region 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Turner County will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 12-6 record after their 51-35 non-league win over Worth County (Sylvester, GA).
