Washington High School Basketball - Kentwood overwhelmed by Sumner
January 20, 2024: Sumner, WA 98390 The Sumner Spartans basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the visiting Kentwood Conquerors to 37 in the Spartans non-league victory on Saturday.
The Spartans now sport a 14-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Olympia for a non-league contest on Monday, January 22. Sumner will battle a Bears team coming off a 58-43 non-league loss to Rogers (Puyallup, WA). The Bears record now stands at 10-5.
The Conquerors (11-4) will now prepare for their contest against Federal Way (Federal Way, WA). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 9-2 record. In their last contest, Federal Way triumphed over Kentridge (Kent, WA), 61-55, in a non-league contest.
