Minerva Lions (Minerva, OH) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host West Branch Warriors (Beloit, OH), 35-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Minerva upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Lions travel to Salem (Salem, OH) to play the Quakers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Quakers go into the bout with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Warriors play the Marlington Dukes (Alliance, OH) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 23. West Branch will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Dukes go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 41-36 non-league loss to Carrollton (Carrollton, OH).
