Sagemont (Weston, FL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Western Wildcats (Davie, FL), 69-65 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Sagemont upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Mater Lakes Academy Bears (Miami, FL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 20. Western will attempt to upgrade on its 14-4 season record. The Bears come into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 68-48 non-league win over Coral Park (Miami, FL).
