Alabama High School Basketball - Bessemer City victorious over Pickens County
January 20, 2025: Bessemer, AL 35022 In Monday's non-league contest, the host Bessemer City Tigers basketball team scored a good 39-29 triumph over the Pickens County Tornadoes.
The Tigers (4-18) will now prepare for their contest against Hueytown (Hueytown, AL). The Golden Gophers go into the 6A Area 7 contest with a 9-16 record. In their last contest, Hueytown topped Helena (Helena, AL), 58-43, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Tornadoes confront the Holy Spirit Catholic Saints (Tuscaloosa, AL) in a 1A Area 9 contest, on Thursday, January 23. Pickens County will attempt to better on its 3-10 season record. The Saints go into the contest with a 12-8 record after their 81-72 league loss to South Lamar (Millport, AL).
