January 20, 2025: Columbia, SC 29229 The Brookland-Cayce Bearcats basketball squad (Cayce, SC), was crushed 78-49 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Ridge View Blazers (Columbia, SC)
With the victory, Ridge View advances its record to 11-7 on the year. The Blazers host Lugoff-Elgin (Lugoff, SC) to meet the Demons in a AAAAA Region 5 battle on Thursday, January 23. The Demons enter the battle with a record of 12-6. Lugoff-Elgin lost 59-46 in their recent non-league battle against Atlantic Collegiate Academy (Conway, SC)
The Bearcats now own a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Aiken for a AAAA Region 4 battle on Friday, January 24. Brookland-Cayce will meet a Thoroughbreds squad coming off a 65-62 league loss to Midland Valley (Graniteville, SC). The Thoroughbreds record now stands at 5-12.
