California High School Basketball - Mayfair sneaks past Camarillo

January 20, 2025: Lakewood, CA 90713

The Mayfair Monsoons (Lakewood, CA) basketball edged the visiting Camarillo Scorpions (Camarillo, CA), 75-72 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Monsoons now possess a 17-5 record. They play next when they host Lynwood for a Gateway bout on Wednesday, January 22. Mayfair will play a Knights team coming off a 62-57 league win over Gahr (Cerritos, CA). The Knights record now stands at 4-15.

With the loss, Camarillo falls to 21-2 on the campaign. The Scorpions host Royal (Simi Valley, CA) to play the Highlanders in a Coastal Canyon bout on Tuesday, January 21. The Highlanders go into the bout with a record of 11-11. Royal lost 62-45 in their recent league bout against Simi Valley (Simi Valley, CA)
