North Carolina High School Basketball - Garner knocks off The Burlington School

The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Garner Trojans (Garner, NC) and the visiting The Burlington School Spartans (Burlington, NC), observed Garner's basketball team overcome The Burlington School by a margin of 67-50.

The Trojans (13-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Corinth Holders (Wendell, NC). The Pirates come into the 4A Greater Neuse River challenge with a 2-13 record. In their last challenge, Corinth Holders dropped by Clayton (Clayton, NC), 90-41, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Carolina Friends Quakers (Durham, NC) in a NCISAA Central Carolina challenge, on Thursday, January 23. The Burlington School will attempt to better on its 13-9 season record. The Quakers come into the challenge with a 5-11 record after their 76-19 league loss to Burlington Christian Academy (Burlington, NC).
