Texas High School Basketball - Beaumont United triumphant over Sterling
January 20, 2025: Beaumont, TX The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Beaumont United Timberwolves (Beaumont, TX) and the visiting Sterling Rangers (Baytown, TX), observed Beaumont United's basketball team overwhelm Sterling by a score of 46-23.
The Timberwolves (12-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Port Arthur Memorial (Port Arthur, TX). The Titans come into the 5A Region III District 19 challenge with a 4-17 record. In their last challenge, Port Arthur Memorial was routed by Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX), 59-15, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Rangers encounter the Port Neches-Groves Indians (Port Neches, TX) in a 5A Region III District 19 challenge, on Friday, January 24. Sterling will attempt to improve on its 5-20 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 8-17 record after their 60-30 league loss to West Brook (Beaumont, TX).
