Illinois High School Basketball - Brown County can't hold off Sherrard
January 20, 2025: Mt. Sterling, IL 62353 Sherrard Tigers (Sherrard, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Brown County Hornets (Mt. Sterling, IL), 53-49 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Sherrard upgrades its record to 15-3 on the year. The Tigers host Orion (Orion, IL) to face the Chargers in a Three Rivers - West match on Thursday, January 23. The Chargers enter the match with a record of 9-14. Orion won 56-40 in their recent non-league match against Biggsville West Central (Biggsville, IL)
The Hornets now sport a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rushville-Industry for a non-league match on Thursday, January 23.
