North Carolina High School Basketball - Wakefield toppled by Garner
January 20, 2025: Garner, NC 27529 Garner Trojans (Garner, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Wakefield Wolverines (Raleigh, NC), 67-59 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Garner advances its record to 12-2 on the year. The Trojans host Corinth Holders (Wendell, NC) to face the Pirates in a match on Tuesday, January 21. The Pirates enter the match with a record of 4-8. Corinth Holders lost 53-31 in their recent non-league match against Clayton (Clayton, NC)
The Wolverines now own a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Millbrook for a match on Wednesday, January 22. Wakefield will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 65-51 non-league win over Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-6.
