North Carolina High School Basketball - Hillside toppled by Southern School of Energy and Sustainability
January 20, 2025: Durham, NC 27703 Southern School of Energy and Sustainability Spartans (Durham, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Hillside Hornets (Durham, NC), 51-38 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Southern School of Energy and Sustainability advances its record to 7-0 on the year. The Spartans travel to J.F. Webb (Oxford, NC) to face the Warriors in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 21. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 3-4. J.F. Webb won 53-23 in their recent non-league match against Granville Central (Stem, NC)
The Hornets now own a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chapel Hill for a non-league match on Wednesday, January 22. Hillside will face a Tigers squad coming off a 60-18 non-league win over Northern Durham (Durham, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 9-1.
