Texas High School Basketball - Parkland nips Del Valle

January 21, 2022: El Paso, TX 79924

Parkland Matadors (El Paso, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Del Valle Conquistadores (El Paso, TX), 45-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Parkland upgrades its record to 20-5 on the season. The Matadors host El Dorado (El Paso, TX) to play the Aztecs in a 5A Region I District 2 bout on Friday, January 28. The Aztecs go into the bout with a record of 6-17. El Dorado lost 43-38 in their recent league bout against Canutillo (Canutillo, TX)

Next up, the Conquistadores play the Hanks Knights (El Paso, TX) in a 5A Region I District 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 25. Del Valle will attempt to upgrade on its 14-9 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 11-11 record after their 60-44 league win over Ysleta (El Paso, TX).
