Kankakee Kays (Kankakee, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Rich Township Raptors (Olympia Fields, IL), 63-59 in a league bout.

With the win, Kankakee upgrades its record to 13-4 on the season. The Kays travel to Harlan (Chicago, IL) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 22. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 6-12. Harlan lost 58-47 in their recent league bout against Fenger (Chicago, IL)

Next up, the Raptors play the Crete-Monee Warriors (Crete, IL) in a Southland bout, on Wednesday, January 26. Rich Township will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 4-15 record after their 64-47 league loss to Thornton (Harvey, IL).
