Alabama High School Basketball - St. John Paul II nips New Hope
January 21, 2022: New Hope, AL 35760 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the St. John Paul II Falcons (Huntsville, AL) and the host New Hope Indians (New Hope, AL), saw St. John Paul II's basketball squad hold off New Hope by a tally of 54-50.
With the victory, St. John Paul II improves its record to 8-13 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Madison County (Gurley, AL) to play the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 25. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 7-10.
Next up, the Indians play the Kate Duncan Smith DAR Patriots (Grant, AL) in a 4A Area 14 challenge, on Tuesday, January 25. New Hope will attempt to improve on its 6-12 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 10-7 record after their 74-62 non-league loss to Guntersville (Guntersville, AL).
