Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Collinsville Pirates (Collinsville, TX) and the visiting Chico Dragons (Chico, TX), saw Collinsville's basketball squad hold off Chico by a tally of 32-28.

With the victory, Collinsville improves its record to 9-16 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Alvord (Alvord, TX) to confront the Bulldogs in a 2A Region II District 13 challenge on Tuesday, January 25. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 19-10. Alvord lost 61-58 in their recent league challenge against Era (Era, TX)

Next up, the Dragons confront the Tioga (Tioga, TX) in a 2A Region II District 13 challenge, on Tuesday, January 25. Chico will attempt to improve on its 6-18 season record. The come into the challenge with a 11-18 record after their 85-27 league loss to Muenster (Muenster, TX).
