California High School Basketball - Downey overwhelms Gahr

January 21, 2022: Cerritos, CA 90703

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Downey Vikings (Downey, CA) and the host Gahr Gladiators (Cerritos, CA), saw Downey's basketball squad wallop Gahr by a tally of 72-11.

With the victory, Downey improves its record to 15-6 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Yucca Valley (Yucca Valley, CA) to confront the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 22. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 14-3. Yucca Valley won 88-11 in their recent league challenge against Cathedral City (Cathedral City, CA)

Next up, the Gladiators confront the Lynwood Knights (Lynwood, CA) in a San Gabriel Valley challenge, on Saturday, January 22. Gahr will attempt to improve on its 3-20 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 8-9 record after their 61-47 league win over Paramount (Paramount, CA).
