Kentucky High School Basketball - Boyd County holds off Campbell County
January 21, 2023: Ashland, KY 41102 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY) and the visiting Campbell County Camels (Alexandria, KY), saw Boyd County's basketball squad hold off Campbell County by a tally of 110-107.
With the victory, Boyd County improves its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Lions host Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY) to confront the Golden Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 5-11. Johnson Central lost 86-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Mason County (Maysville, KY)
Next up, the Camels confront the Walton-Verona Bearcats (Walton, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 25. Campbell County will attempt to improve on its 11-8 season record. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a 13-4 record after their 99-94 non-league win over Augusta (Augusta, KY).
