Iowa High School Basketball - Roosevelt overwhelms Burke
January 21, 2023: Des Moines, IA 50312 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Roosevelt Roughriders (Des Moines, IA) and the visiting Burke Bulldogs (Omaha, NE), saw Roosevelt's basketball squad wallop Burke by a tally of 83-47.
With the victory, Roosevelt improves its record to 7-6 on the campaign. The Roughriders travel to Marshalltown (Marshalltown, IA) to confront the Bobcats in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 9-6. Marshalltown lost 57-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Des Moines East (Des Moines, IA)
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Fremont Tigers (Fremont, NE) in a A District TBD challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Burke will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 2-13 record after their 84-42 league loss to Lincoln High (Lincoln, NE).
