January 21, 2023: Chaparral, NM 88081 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Carlsbad Cavemen (Carlsbad, NM) and the host Chaparral Lobos (Chaparral, NM), saw Carlsbad's basketball squad wallop Chaparral by a tally of 85-36.
With the victory, Carlsbad improves its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Cavemen travel to Clovis (Clovis, NM) to confront the Wildcats in a 5A District 4 challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 10-9. Clovis lost 49-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Lovington (Lovington, NM)
Next up, the Lobos confront the Lovington Wildcats (Lovington, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Chaparral will attempt to improve on its 4-14 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 11-7 record after their 49-46 non-league win over Clovis (Clovis, NM).
