Georgia High School Basketball - Carver can't hold off McNair
January 21, 2023: Atlanta, GA 30315 The McNair Mustangs basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Carver Panthers to 47 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Mustangs now sport a 5-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Elite Scholars Academy for a AA Region 5 contest on Tuesday, January 24. McNair will battle a Royal Knights team coming off a 68-35 non-league win over Brandon Hall (Atlanta, GA). The Royal Knights record now stands at 9-7.
The Panthers (0-19) will now prepare for their contest against Douglass (Atlanta, GA). The Astros enter the AAA Region 5 contest with a 8-11 record. In their last bout, Douglass nipped Southwest Atlanta Christian (Atlanta, GA), 42-39, in a non-league bout.
