In Saturday's non-league match, the host Montclair Mounties basketball team scored a good 61-49 triumph over the Central Blue Devils.

In their next game, the Mounties meet the Verona Hillbillies (Verona, NJ) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 24. Montclair will attempt to move on its 7-3 season record. The Hillbillies enter the match with a 6-11 record after their 59-41 non-league win over Kearny (Kearny, NJ).
