Grand Junction Central Warriors (Grand Junction, CO) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Montezuma-Cortez Panthers (Cortez, CO), 65-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Grand Junction Central upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The Warriors travel to Grand Junction (Grand Junction, CO) to play the Tigers in a 6A/5A Southwestern bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 6-8. Grand Junction lost 55-43 in their recent league bout against Durango (Durango, CO)

Next up, the Panthers play the Centauri Falcons (La Jara, CO) in a 4A/3A Intermountain bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Montezuma-Cortez will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 10-2 record after their 57-52 league loss to Alamosa (Alamosa, CO).
