New Jersey High School Basketball - Leonia holds off Ridgefield Park
January 21, 2023: Ridgefield Park, NJ 07660 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Leonia Lions (Leonia, NJ) and the host Ridgefield Park Scarlets (Ridgefield Park, NJ), saw Leonia's basketball squad hold off Ridgefield Park by a tally of 54-48.
With the victory, Leonia improves its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Lions host Fair Lawn (Fair Lawn, NJ) to confront the Cutters in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 26. The Cutters come into the challenge with a record of 10-2. Fair Lawn lost 57-50 in their recent league challenge against Lakeland Regional (Wanaque, NJ)
Next up, the Scarlets confront the Palisades Park Tigers (Palisades Park, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 23. Ridgefield Park will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 49-46 non-league loss to New Milford (New Milford, NJ).
