Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Moniteau tops Punxsutawney
January 21, 2023: West Sunbury, PA 16061 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Moniteau Warriors (West Sunbury, PA) and the visiting Punxsutawney Chucks (Punxsutawney, PA), saw Moniteau's basketball squad knock off Punxsutawney by a count of 49-40.
With the victory, Moniteau upgrades its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Warriors host Clarion-Limestone (Strattanville, PA) to play the Lions in a Keystone Shortway - Large challenge on Wednesday, January 25. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 14-1. Clarion-Limestone won 87-7 in their recent non-league challenge against East Forest/West Forest (Tionesta, PA)
Next up, the Chucks play the Brookville Raiders (Brookville, PA) in a District 9 challenge, on Wednesday, January 25. Punxsutawney will attempt to improve on its 1-11 season record. The Raiders come into the battle with a 12-2 record after their 56-35 non-league win over Karns City (Karns City, PA).
