Washington High School Basketball - Olympia tops Rainier Beach
January 21, 2023: Olympia, WA 98501 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Olympia Bears (Olympia, WA) and the visiting Rainier Beach Vikings (Seattle, WA), saw Olympia's basketball squad knock off Rainier Beach by a tally of 65-49.
With the victory, Olympia improves its record to 15-3 on the campaign. The Bears host Emerald Ridge (South Hill, WA) to play the Jaguars in a 4A South Puget Sound - South challenge on Wednesday, January 25. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 8-9. Emerald Ridge won 83-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Kentlake (Kent, WA)
Next up, the Vikings play the Bishop Blanchet Bears (Seattle, WA) in a 3A Metro challenge, on Monday, January 23. Rainier Beach will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 2-12 record after their 57-45 league loss to Eastside Catholic (Sammamish, WA).
