January 21, 2023: Wisner, NE 68791 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Wisner-Pilger Gators (Wisner, NE) and the visiting West Point-Beemer Cadets (West Point, NE), saw Wisner-Pilger's basketball squad hold off West Point-Beemer by a tally of 49-47.
With the victory, Wisner-Pilger improves its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Gators travel to Clarkson/Leigh (Clarkson, NE) to play the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 11-4. Clarkson/Leigh won 53-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Twin River (Genoa, NE)
Next up, the Cadets play the Pierce Bluejays (Pierce, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. West Point-Beemer will attempt to improve on its 6-9 season record. The Bluejays come into the challenge with a 12-2 record after their 37-33 league win over Battle Creek (Battle Creek, NE).
