Michigan High School Basketball - Chavez Academy overwhelmed by Inter-City Baptist
January 21, 2023: Allen Park, MI 48101 The Inter-City Baptist Chargers basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the visiting Chavez Academy Aztec Eagles to 21 in the Chargers non-league victory on Saturday.
The Chargers now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Plymouth Christian Academy for a Michigan Independent - Blue contest on Tuesday, January 24. Inter-City Baptist will battle a Eagles team coming off a 51-36 league win over Oakland Christian (Auburn Hills, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 7-4.
The Aztec Eagles (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Merritt Academy (New Haven, MI). The Mustangs come into the non-league contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Merritt Academy triumphed over Center Line Prep (Center Line, MI), 42-2, in a non-league contest.
