Middle Township Panthers (Cape May Court House, NJ) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Donovan Catholic Griffins (Toms River, NJ), 54-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Middle Township upgrades its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Mainland Regional (Linwood, NJ) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Monday, January 23. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 12-2. Mainland Regional won 33-31 in their recent non-league bout against Absegami (Galloway, NJ)

Next up, the Griffins play the Lakewood Piners (Lakewood, NJ) in a Shore B - South bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Donovan Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Piners come into the bout with a 0-9 record after their 48-15 non-league loss to Matawan Regional (Aberdeen, NJ).
