Iowa High School Basketball - Oakland-Craig holds off Harlan
January 21, 2023: Harlan, IA 51537 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Oakland-Craig Knights (Oakland, NE) and the host Harlan Cyclones (Harlan, IA), saw Oakland-Craig's basketball squad hold off Harlan by a tally of 48-42.
With the victory, Oakland-Craig improves its record to 14-2 on the campaign. The Knights travel to North Bend Central (North Bend, NE) to confront the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 23. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 15-1. North Bend Central won 56-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Glenwood (Glenwood, IA)
Next up, the Cyclones confront the Denison-Schleswig Monarchs (Denison, IA) in a Hawkeye Ten challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Harlan will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record. The Monarchs come into the challenge with a 2-11 record after their 65-34 league loss to St. Albert (Council Bluffs, IA).
