Illinois High School Basketball - Proviso East tops Bogan
January 21, 2024: Maywood, IL 60153 Proviso East Pirates (Maywood, IL) backers were pleased Sunday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Bogan Bengals (Chicago, IL), 78-67 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Proviso East upgrades its record to 11-8 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Downers Grove North (Downers Grove, IL) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 14-4. Downers Grove North lost 59-51 in their recent non-league bout against Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL)
Next up, the Bengals play the Longwood Panthers (Chicago, IL) in a Chicago Public - White Central bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Bogan will attempt to upgrade on its 13-11 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 45-29 league win over Solorio (Chicago, IL).
